Mission:

Festival Shazam is a non-profit event producer that celebrates the next generation of musicians and artists through cultural and intergenerational gatherings in rural areas. 

Vision:

Festival Shazam creates a more diverse, dynamic and caring world by promoting kindness, equality, environmentalism, fulfillment of youth, community building and cultural democracy. By providing a safe space for spectators to network creatively and come together through artistic expression and play, it fosters community engagement, ecological responsibility and cultural democratization.

Orientations:

FESTIVAL SHAZAM is a non-profit organization and a social economy enterprise with a mission of sustainable development in the arts and agricultural sectors:

 

- To organize quality events, with the goal of discovering and celebrating cultural differences through music and other mediums.

 

- To bring together and promote local, national and international culture, music and art in the form of festivals and other intergenerational events.

 

- To stimulate the participation of emerging artists in order to encourage self-management, exchange, learning and development by offering an alternative scene.

 

- To favour the creation of jobs for young people and adults in the Estrie region.

 

- To promote and encourage the artistic participation of the public in events that bring people together.

 

- To promote local agricultural and artisanal products during festive events. 

 

- To promote the following values during events: exchange, voluntarism, sharing, respect for people, animals and the environment.

 

- To encourage the development of infrastructures that allow for a certain degree of food autonomy during large events.

 

- To offer a greener and more eco-responsible festival in a vision of sustainable development.

 

- To create a net benefit for the whole community, by supporting artists and businesses in the region and by offering free cultural mediation activities.

 

- To promote food autonomy through the presentation of workshops and conferences related to urban and rural agriculture.
