ShazamFest , Québec's most unique summer festival, presents a wide variety of musical talents and stage acts, including circus-based performances, puppet shows, comedy and burlesque. ShazamFest has created a special experience for the whole family. Workshops on forging and circus arts, extreme sport displays of skateboarding and wrestling give ShazamFest a distinctive flavor. Hidden in a lush valley surrounded by woods, and a brook with natural springs, the festival site offers a campground, Main Stage, a rustic Shazam Saloon, skateboard ramp, an Organic Kitchen, and the Shazam Burger hut. ShazamFest 's fifth anniversary show is guaranteed to make you smile, dance and laugh. Start your evening on Friday with Réjean Turbid 's swing rock. Rock out to RockHard . Then take a ride with WD40 's country flavored punk rock. Laugh at The RPM puppet conspiracy political satire. Jump and shout with your fists in the air to Pete Möss . Ottawa's Rockalily Burlesque will make you blush and Bloodshot Bill one man rockabilly show will knock your sock off. To top it all off, we will have a guest appearance by The Human Floor . Start off Saturday with the clownish antics of Alexio and Mary-Bulle . Come and relax to the sound of Richard Lahmy on our small stage or watch the old school versus new school skateboard competition on the largest ramp in the Townships. Voluntad 's world music will get your feet moving. Mike Goudreau and his blues band will keep you grooving. The Eastern Townships Wrestling Association will make you laugh and cringe at their crazy antics. Blast off with the LennoxVillains prog rock. Fogo Rasto will burn you up with their firestorm. Mello G's reggae will get you in a loving mood. Enjoy Boston's buxom babes of the Bitches of Destiny Burlesque. Dance the night away to RadioRadio hip-hop New Brunswick style. Sunday's line up offers up a mix of folk, blues, reggae and soul to ease your mind and body. Feast on Michelle Bourque and Sasha Przytyk 's reggae infused grooves. The Eastern Townships Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Society will host a 2-hour bluegrass Jam. Then dance to Lake of Stew 's string and vocal harmonies. Ol' Savannah 's bluegrass and roots mix will keep you going, and to cap it all off, we'll groove to Cab 's blues chops. This year ShazamFest is proud to announce that we've added a new venue, T he Shazam DJ scene . Where you'll find DJ's playing a wide variety of musical flavors from roots reggae, hip-hop to house and beyond. There will be forging workshops by Dave MacDonald master knife smith, circus and unicycle workshops by Michael Jensenand an African drumming workshop by Louise Raymond. |
